When does a dream become more than just something that lives in your brain? How does it go from something you think about, to something you make happen?
For us, the dream of driving to South America was one that was in our heads for years. We moved into our Fuso with the rough plan of eventually driving the Pan-Am, but it wasn’t until about a year into full-time living on the road that we decided we were ready, and we committed to it. We just happened to be above the Arctic Circle in Alaska at the time, what a convenient place to start!
We’re currently on the road from Alaska to Argentina in our F-350 with a Flatbed Phoenix Pop-Up camper on it. Our journey will take us roughly 2 years, Starting in Alaska in September of 2024, and if the money doesn’t run out too quickly, taking us through September(ish) of 2026, where we hope to ski in Chile!
